Gemma Stone on Loving More and Fearing Less

Gemma Stone knows what it’s like to let fear dictate your every decision, and she’s made it her life’s work to help others break free from this trap.

“They say we teach the lessons we need to learn,” says Gemma. “I want [folx] to know [they] are not alone, and that transformation—of the most miraculous kind—is absolutely possible.”

About 15 years ago, Gemma began to slowly and deliberately rewire her core beliefs after hitting a low point when she realized that fear was the driving force in her life and that she wanted to change.

“[One day,] while soaking in a bubble bath, sipping on champagne, and nibbling on chocolate, I started to cry,” she told me. “I didn’t like myself. I didn’t like my life. And in that moment, I realized that the thing controlling me? Fear. I’d built my life on a foundation of fear and I was depressed, anxious, and unfulfilled.”

That moment where she felt so low actually proved to be a peak experience in her life, a quarter-century epiphany. From that moment on, Gemma committed to living from a place of love rather than fear, and to help others do the same.

And so began her odyssey of learning, healing, and growth.

“We always have a choice—love or fear,” says Gemma. “And what we choose changes everything. I believe when we embody love, we tip our world in the direction of everything good. I applied this concept to my life and mind, in practical ways. It transformed my world.”

On her journey to healing herself and learning to heal others, Gemma dove headfirst into university, post-graduate training, and continuing education. She studied dozens of healing modalities including positive psychology, shamanism, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, play therapy, reiki, hypnotherapy, neurolinguistic programming, art therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing, yoga, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and lots, lots more.

After years of study and guiding others through healing in various capacities, Gemma founded her current business, To Love This Life, where she helps others learn to live from a place of love, not fear.

“Today my life is anchored in love. In my psychology work, consulting for entrepreneurs, and through courses, I’ve helped thousands of people resolve their past trauma, fall in love with their lives, and step into futures they’ve only dreamed about.”

Aside from time-efficient, budget-friendly mindset and mental health courses, Gemma also offers highly specialized mental health consulting for entrepreneurs.

“Entrepreneurs are trying to solve our biggest problems,” Gemma says. “Everything from the healthcare crisis to the erosion of the environment to social issues. The courageous hearts who choose entrepreneurship are utterly remarkable people. But this gig isn’t an easy one, which is why entrepreneurs are more likely to struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health challenges than non-entrepreneurs. I believe the beautiful entrepreneurial mind needs a special kind of support.”

After working with hundreds of start-ups, founders, executives, creators, and investors, it was clear: Her passion—and gift—is helping people who are helping the world.

“My clients tell me that I move with ease from ally to challenger to guide to aha-finder,” Gemma told me. “My superpower is helping clients tap into conscious, subconscious, and unconscious levels of the mind where real and long-lasting change happens. From there, it becomes much easier to step into aligned action and innovative inspiration.”

Here’s a plot twist: Gemma quickly realized that, as an entrepreneur, she also needs support in order to do her best work!

This includes balancing her own mental health by working with a coach and a therapist, prioritizing her self-care, establishing healthy boundaries, and surrounding herself with remarkable humans who can hold space for the wholeness of the entrepreneurial experience. Gemma knew the importance of these things, but she also realized that she needed support in her business operations.

And that’s where Team Maggie comes in! Gemma first got in touch for help with growing her business in a sustainable, aligned way that supported her personal growth and mental health.

“I loved having aligned support creating a soulful strategy to get my work out into the world in a bigger way,” Gemma says. “When I came to you, I was very overwhelmed and muddled with how to create clear channels for my offerings and how to support my people in finding their home in my new business structure. It was wonderful to have your skills on my side throughout the transition.”

Music to my ears! Together, we constructed a clear, supportive journey for Gemma’s clients to guide them through the process of working with her, and was also sustainable and fulfilling for Gemma. We strove for a win-win situation where her clients could easily get the help they were seeking by packaging Gemma’s skills and gifts in the most useful and aligned way.

With us in her corner, Gemma was able to navigate a complex transition with more ease and grace while feeling less alone, more deeply understood, and fully supported.

“I believe I was able to make changes faster and maintain my health and sanity with your support,” Gemma says. “I felt like our values were deeply aligned and you understood how much my people meant to me and how essential it was to treat them with empathy and care.”
